Dear Abolition 2000 friends,

As a contribute to our battle for a better, safer and healthier life on this planet Mother Earth I will offer you a poem now and then on GANA's Website.
Sometimes it will be one of my own other times it will be of an other poet. If you want to republish the poems please take note of the copyright and put that under the poem.
My poems have never been officially published, so you will be among the first to read those.

When the World Court Hearings were held in 1995 in The Hague round the issue of: "Are nuclear weapons illegal?", I read a poem to Karin Salzmann and Mary Riseley to launch the day and to put our minds on the issue of: "What are we fighting for?".

Here's a poem on an issue I personally am very scared of: The madness of some politicians who say they really cannot do without THE BOM!

I hope to see you all on the next Abolition 2000 meeting.

Ak Malten,

Global Anti-Nuclear Alliance (GANA).

Political Science

No one likes us - I don't know why
We may not be perfect, but heaven knows we try
But all around even our old friends put us down
Let's drop the big one and see what happens

We give them money - But are they grateful
No, they're spiteful and they're hateful
They don't respect us - so let's surprise them
We'll drop the big one and pulverize them

Asia's crowded and Europe's too old
Africa is far too hot
And Canada is too cold
And South America stole our name
Let's drop the big one
There'll be no one to blame us

We'll save Australia
Don't wanna hurt no kangaroo
We'll build an all American amusement park there
They got surfing too

Boom goes London and boom Paree
More room for you and more room for me
And every city the whole world round
Will just be another American town
Oh how peaceful it will be
We'll set everybody free
You'll wear a Japanese kimono
And there'll be Italian shoes for me

They all hate us any how
So let's drop the big one now
Let's drop the big one now
